About me

My name is Diego García Unzueta. I am an 18-year-old student at Escola Maria Immaculada in São Paulo. I have a deep passion for learning about business and finance as well as exploring the STEM world by studying physics and computer science.

I enjoy discovering how I can use these tools to make a difference. Project building and problem-solving drive me, especially when it involves group collaboration. I am specifically committed to the idea that teamwork is what can lead us all to a better future.

I was born in Spain, a country known for its rich history and culture. At a young age, I moved to Brazil with my famliy due to my parents jobs, where I have lived up to now. Brazil is also known for its vibrant culture, and it holds a special place in my heart because of its people. It is the most welcoming country I have ever experienced, and growing up in such a vibrant community has cultivated my affinity for teamwork.

I have a passion for traveling the world, and thanks to my parents, I’ve had the opportunity to visit Kenya more than once. Growing up in Brazil—a beautiful country that also faces significant inequality—inspired me to give back on a larger, international scale.

After visiting the Masai Mara for the second time, I saw an opportunity to make a difference, which is why I initiated and developed  the “Olchoro Lemayian Primary School" Project, that is the name chosen by the Local Community for this new educational center, in Brazil.

When I'm not studying or participating in community projects, I enjoy playing sports on my school’s soccer and basketball teams. I also cherish spending time with my friends and family; their company is very important to me. I appreciate that you’re seeking information about the project; whether you’re here to learn or to donate, you’ve already started making a change.

Let's work together to ensure that education becomes the global standard in all countries and regions.

Yours,
Diego.
